01 - 8 large fresh jalapeños

02 - 4 oz cream cheese, softened
03 - 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
04 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or green onions
05 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

08 - 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs, gluten-free if needed
09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

10 - 2 tablespoons cooked, crumbled bacon, omit for vegetarian
# Directions:
01 - Preheat air fryer to 375°F for 5 minutes.
02 - Wash jalapeños, slice in half lengthwise, and remove seeds and membranes with a spoon. Wear gloves if sensitive to spice.
03 - Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chives, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt in a bowl until smooth and well combined.
04 - Fill each jalapeño half with cheese mixture, mounding slightly on top.
05 - Combine breadcrumbs with olive oil in a small bowl until evenly mixed.
06 - Press or sprinkle breadcrumb mixture onto tops of filled jalapeños, ensuring even coverage.
07 - Place poppers in single layer in air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes until tops are golden and jalapeños are tender.
