# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It's basically a party where everyone wins because they build exactly what they crave, no compromises.
  • Your counter becomes a gorgeous edible landscape that somehow feels effortless even though it's absolutely show-stopping.
  • Twenty minutes from start to serving means you spend more time laughing with people and less time stressed in the kitchen.
02 -
  • Prep everything but don't assemble until people are actually ready to eat—avocado browns and bread loses its crisp if they sit together.
  • If your avocados aren't quite ripe, they won't mash smoothly, and you'll end up with grainy chunks instead of creamy paste; buy them two days early if you need to.
03 -
  • Buy avocados slightly underripe and let them sit on your counter for a day; they'll ripen at exactly the moment you need them, not three days before.
  • Toast your bread in batches and taste one piece to make sure it's the crispness you want before you do them all.
